Double Glazing Systems - Why Winsulite™ uPVC?

'Unplasticized Polyvinylchloride' (u.P.V.C) is used extensively throughout the world in the building industry to manufacture such items as water pipes, drain pipes, gutters and electrical conduits to name but a few, and is also used to extrude window and door frames. Its rigid and durable qualities make uPVC an ideal material for this application. The extrusion we use is manufactured by "Rehau", an international company who have been producing extrusion for the building industry for over fifty years.

"Rehau" uPVC extrusion is a high impact, ultra violet and weather resistant material, a formulation designed specifically for Australia's harsh conditions.

Our Windows and Doors have fusion welded joints which allow the multi chambered profiles to be joined perfectly, unlike timber and standard aluminium.

The salt air of coastal regions can be very destructive. Rehau's specially formulated PVC's are resistant to ALL atmospheric conditions.

Apart from the occasional wipe down, our windows and doors are colourfast and white throughout.

Our windows and doors have 2 or 3 weather seals and depending on design, these seals protect each opening, allowing the windows and doors to remain completely draught and waterproof, even under the most severe weather conditions.

Up to 10 different locking points can be added to our windows and doors, and when used in conjunction with toughened safety/laminated glass this would make it virtually impossible for intruders to gain entry.

Water penetration and air-infiltration tested to Australian standards AS2047/2048.

uPVC - Designed for Superb Performance

Rehau profiles are produced to exacting German engineering guidelines. Quality control is paramount with all factories operating to ISO 9001 quality standards. Rehau window profiles are specially formulated to withstand heavy weathering conditions, especially in Asia and Australia where global radiation is relatively high. In addition to in-house tests, Rehau systems are tested by independent institutions to meet the stringent requirements demanded in the market. Our window systems have been tested and certified for following satisfactory performance.

Material: RAU-PVC 1476, rigid PVC of high impact strength

The profiles are uniformly and integrally coloured. If profiles with two limit values are combined, the tolerances determined by measurement in the colorimeter ensure faultless processing free from disturbing colour deviations.
